City Streets is a photo book made entirely out of black & white hand-printed gelatin-sllver photographic prints. In keeping with the pure photographic aesthetic, there is neither a title page nor a colophon, although there is a stanza of text excerpted from William Blake’s Songs of Experience to set the stage at the book’s beginning. All of the photographs were made between 1990-91 in the Soviet Union, the former East Germany, Czechoslovakia, and Hungary. City Streets was first designed and bound in 1999 and was printed in an edition of ten books in 2003 and 2013, respectively.
